The bottom drawer, a term you may be familiar with, is your stash that you acquire and build up for your new place before you move out. Something my parents fondly remember from their hay day, but something I'm starting to accumulate by myself. It's a sad tale to say that I am still living at home perhaps, I won't ramble on about mortgages and renting (that's a depressing state of affairs, christ on a bike). Since working for an interiors brand, my eyes have been opened and never has my Pinterest been so jam-packed with decor inspiration. So whilst I may be a long way off from taking baby steps in to the big wide world, I currently have two mugs and a imac.. hashtag #priorities.
I came across these delightfully monogrammed mugs from US brand Anthropologie, a brand I certainly hear raved about but never stepping foot inside. Stepping in their Regent Street store in the city, Anthropologie is a slice of decor heaven. A mish mash of botanical inspired crockery, fashion and those famous drawer pulls. I purchased a monogrammed 'S' and 'M' mug for me and Matthew. Despite the fact Matthew hates tea (weirdo) and I can't even fit my fingers in the loop, how freeking amazing will these look on a bookshelf? Yes, I've officially gone crackers. Cute though right?
Have you started a bottom drawer, or pray do tell, how did you even afford furniture after rent/deposit/life?
