DEPARTURE: DESTINATION PAMPER

Armed with two of my fave gal pals and in desperate need of a pamper, yesterday Charlotte, Jo and I headed over to to the very quirky cool MW Nails in Spitalfields. Not quite your usual salon, MW Nails is actually an aeroplane (for real). Taking you on a first class journey to serious pampering and express treatments - leave your passports at home and take a trip to destination fabulous....

Upon entering we were ushered over to Deparatures to select our shade of choice, with an array of Essies including latest collection shades and OPI's on offer, I settled for a corals choice of coraliscious OPI's Suzi is Hungary.

We were then led on down into the main salon area, taking our First Class Pedicure Seats amongst the real aeroplane interior taken from a Boeing 737!

Opting for the signature pedicure Tokyo Toes, we laid back and enjoyed having our feet pampered and preened. Including a file and shape, cuticle work, serious exfoliation and nice long soak, Lucy got to work on painting my pedi, complete with a top coat of Seche Vite. Having never been for a pedicure before, it was a serious treat however ticklish it may be.

Meanwhile across the plane, Jo indulged in a Perfect Panorama manicure, complete with a slick of OPI's Charged up Cherry and a soothing hand massage.

A special thanks to our Cabin Crew for the day, Lucy and Margery. Highly recommend - these girls mean business.

 In Short: MW Nails

MW Nails is sneakily tucked away in Spitalfields Market, but certainly not one to be overlooked. Such a fabulous idea (with an seriously cool pampering menu), the service was next to none considering we got caught in bad traffic and turned up rather late, the lovely ladies slotted us right in. Price wise the treatments were on par with London salons, we each all paid £29 (with a deposit paid upon booking) - we will certainly be returning as their Tuscan Triple is the perfect 'catch up with friends' date!

With a quick hop, jump and a skip around the corner we made our way to The Breakfast Club. Having literally only visited last week (read here), The Brekky Club asked me if I had ventured through the Smeg. Errr what the heck? After a little research it all became clear...

See this delightful minty Smeg (what kitchen interior dreams are made of) is not actually a Smeg....

It's a DOOR! That leads you through to this pretty darn cool bar! With one almighty good Strawberry Daiquiri and a helping of bacon & cheese popcorn (SO GOOD!), I highly recommend a visit. If not for the cocktails but the vintage Smash Hits magazine wallpaper plastered over the loo, so hip it hurts.

There you have it, a very girly date - with lots of pampering and cocktails thrown in for good measure. Where else can you say you got a pedi in a plane? Pretty cool eh?
