THE TAKE OVER: Michelle's Guide to Wearing Pink

With pink as our reigning colour reference this AW13, the less girly and obviously dressed of us might be trembling in fear. Let's say that I'm easily one of the more girlish dressers on the style scale - so here's my picking of how to incorporate pink into your look, especially for Wednesdays...
Knitted Fluffy Pink Jumper - Topshop (£34) / Tartan Trousers - H&M (£14.99) / Alegra Boot - Miss Selfridge (£39) / Cream Utility Shirt - New Look (£17.99)

Look one is a slightly tomboy-inspired, eclectic look. The fashion rule of thumb is a trend at a time, right? Wrong. This look is super sweet yet tough at the same time - the pink cropped jumper is easily offset with a crisp collar, tailored trousers and a, must-have for the cold, a pair of ankle boots. You could even add a little bowler hat and a spiked necklace for extra utility charm, but you know, I'm not quite there yet…

Knitted Fluffy Pink Jumper - Topshop (£34) / Floral & Polka Dot Skirt - Zara (£19.99) / Mink Vintage Snaffle Loafers - Topshop (£22) / Bow Bracelet - Mulberry (£125)

Embracing the pink thing that has enamoured us all, Look Two is a showcase of femininity. From the floral and polka dot skirt to the dainty pointed toe loafers, to the black suede bow bracelet from Mulberry, if you're going to do pink everywhere, black accents will help to anchor your look and keep you looking age 5+.

Will you be working this pastel pink into your A/W wardrobe?
